BREATHING GASES FOR DEEP SEA DIVERS

Deep sea diving plays a major role in offshore, deep water operations such as pipeline inspection, petroleum exploration, underwater construction and salvage operations. My Gas supplies diving gas mixtures to these offshore operations.

Nitorx and Heliox

HELIOX: A BLEND OF HELIUM AND OXYGEN USED FOR DEEP SEA BREATHING APPLICATIONS

Heliox allows professional divers to work at depths of up to 150 metres, necessary for inspection, repair and construction work associated with the offshore oil industry.

Heliox can prevent the occurrence of nitrogen narcosis at these depths.

NITROX: A BLEND OF NITROGEN AND OXYGEN USED FOR DEEP SEA BREATHING APPLICATIONS

Nitrox is a breathing gas used predominantly for diving at depths of up to 50 metres.

Nitrox is "enriched oxygen air" and contains a higher percentage of oxygen than that found in air, thereby reducing the nitrogen intake. This helps to decrease the risk of two nitrogen-related problems: decompression sickness (DCS) and nitrogen narcosis.

HELIOX

  • Heliox is available in single cylinder or in Quad packs (16, 48 and 64).
  • My Gas cylinders are rated to 300 bar. Heliox can also be provided in 200 bar cylinders if required.
  • All My Gas equipment meets UKAS standards and is tested in accordance with IMCA guidelines and regulations.
  • Typically ranges from 98% Helium (He) / 2% Oxygen (O2) to 60/40, dependant on depth / saturation. My Gas offers customised breathing mixtures to suit individual needs.

NITROX

  • Nitrox is available in single cylinder or in Quad packs (16, 48 and 64).
  • My Gas cylinders are rated to 300 bar. Nitrox can also be provided in 200 bar cylinders if required.
  • All My Gas equipment meets UKAS standards and is tested in accordance with IMCA guidelines and regulations.
  • This gas can be provided in a variety of mixes - for example, 25% Oxygen (O2) / 75% Nitrogen (N2) or 50% O2 / 50% N2.
